llms.txt
llms.txt is a proposed standard — a plain-text file served at /llms.txt — that gives AI systems a concise, machine-friendly map of a website: what the company or product is, and links to its most important pages. It plays a role similar to robots.txt or sitemap.xml, but written for large language models rather than crawl schedulers.
It is cheap to add and increasingly checked by AI crawlers. A good llms.txt states in one paragraph what you are and who you're for — the same 'entity sentence' that helps models describe you correctly — followed by a short annotated list of key URLs.
